Driver window stopped working suddenly, others worked fine. Do I take the car to the dealer where their machines can tell exactly what's wrong, but spend hundreds of dollars? After learning how to replace this switch by watching YouTube, I took the chance of purchasing this replacement hoping it was not the window motor, cheapest part first. This time I won, replaced the switch in about 10 minutes and the window now works.
Perfect fit for my 2010 Chevy Cobalt. Easy to install, just plug it in to the connector. Looks just like the original. Only issue I have is that the button surface gets a bit warm. I think it's from the lights but still concerning.
Purchased this switch for my daughter''s 2010 Cobalt because her driver's side window just stopped working. The part was an exact fit as the factory original. Replacement was extremely easy. Took all of about 5 minutes to do. There are countless videos on YouTube that will show you how to do it. All you need is a phillips-head screw-driver to remove 2 screws and the rest is plug and play. The unit has 5 switches, one for each window and another that actuates the window lock feature. After replacing the switch, all four windows work as they should. The window lock feature on my switch did not function, but that is no big deal to me. Ultimately, the switch fixed the problem that I wanted it to.The shipping from Amazon however was terrible. I ordered this part on May 19th and even though it was in stock, they decided to sit on my order for 9 days before sending it out. I received it the finally on May 19th. I can understand that Amazon wants to get people to sign up for Prime, but to hold my order for that long was a bit crazy. If this was an item or an issue that I needed right away, I would have cancelled my order.
